No Ordinary Hobby

Been asked to design a bit of branding for a colleague who has a rather special way to spend her spare days...

--> Making shoes!

Given her name, she's looking for a continuous line drawing of a crocus (from where saffron comes), which can be made into a leather stamp. The result is still ongoing but here's a mock up of how it could look on some appropriately-coloured leather...?

Bridges

So a friend asked me to come up with a logo for his freelance consultancy work in the heritage / library / archiving world, incorporating the bridges that span the Tyne in Newcastle. Little did I know there were 5 bridges, but indeed there are! And so... I came up with the idea to arrange said bridges in a stacked formation, as if on a bookcase, drawing on relevant connotations around cataloguing, organisation and structure. Here's a neat and not so neat version, plus one with some colour and texture for added aesthetic appeal.

Self indulgence

Decided to update my banner as the previous straightforward name in pencil was a bit stale...

Wanted a bit of colour and pattern so after a couple of doodles along the lines of below... the new framed name was the winner (see top).

Next stop, website... although don't hold your breath.

Cinco Digital Wall

Spent last weekend drawing the above on the wall at Cinco Digital headquarters, which was both fun times.. and seemingly v.well received.  For those that know Leeds, you may recognise some of the buildings, and that's Cinco's logo in the middle.
The photo (taken on my phone) is a bit shoddy and doesn't really do the scale justice.. but you get the idea.  Did try to time-lapse the creation, but the camera for this was suicidal and kept jumping around, causing the video to be a bit jumpy/distorted.. So here's a work-in-progress photo that documents mid-creation instead...
